The Prevention Team provides fundamental support to our communities across HIWFRS, by providing first-class initiatives to keep them safe. Our prevention activities include engagement with and education of the community, Home Fire Safety visits, delivery of children and young people programmes and safeguarding.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Community Safety Advisor to join our team. This role is key in the delivery of a high-quality prevention programme to our community across the counties, promoting and developing fire safety awareness and consequently reducing casualties and fatalities within the local community.

The role will purely focus on the delivery of Home Fire Safety visits. Home Fire Safety Visits are tailored to individuals' needs that can support the most vulnerable members of our community to help protect them and their home from fire.

The role requires you to be responsible for confirming all your own visits and you must be able to demonstrate good planning, organisation, and time management skills. Excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate confidently and effectively are essential, alongside a passionate desire to make the lives of residents safer.
