About the Role
Your role will be to provide objective occupational health advice to support HIOWC to manage its workforce effectively. To provide advice and support to individuals, managers and the organisation. To enable effective health management throughout the workforce, supporting retention of skills and experience, and promoting return to work.
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Provide clinical assessment of individuals' health and fitness related to their role, maintaining clinical objectivity and impartiality in line with OH guidance.
- Ensure appointments are available in person, via phone, or TEAMS as required.
- Be available with notice to travel across HIOWC to facilitate clinics and appointments.
- Undertake health surveillance in line with legal requirements.
- Obtain specialist reports and liaise with physicians, physiotherapists, and counsellors to support rehabilitation and return to work plans.
- Provide clinical advice into the recruitment and selection of police officers and staff.
Essential Qualifications
- Registered General Nurse with current registration with the Nursing & Midwifery Council.
- Occupational Health Degree.
- Trained in health surveillance such as audiometry, spirometry, and vision screening.
- Evidence of significant clinical experience.
