The FP&A Analyst will play an important role in preparing FP&A management information, including monthly financial performance reports, quarterly Board packs, and the maintenance of financial models.
Working across the FP&A and Business Intelligence teams within Finance, the role combines commercial accounting, financial planning and analysis, and data focused business intelligence skills.
Preparation of daily / weekly reporting for deposit and lending monitoring.
Support in the preparation of monthly FP&A management accounts for review.
Assist the FP&A Manager in delivering performance insights, investigating variances to budget / forecast, ensuring clear narrative and actionable recommendations.
Provision of ad hoc scenario analysis, sensitivities and modelling to support commercial decision-making and strategic priorities.
Maintain and develop sound financial models, ensuring they are fit-for-purpose, controlled and well-documented.
Support the BI team with various projects across the Bank by providing financial insight, modelling support and analysis, answering ad hoc queries as and when they arise.
Deliver reporting solutions in Power BI / Oracle Analytics Server by supporting the BI team to build high quality products.
Proactive in building a strong network of relationships with colleagues from all relevant parts and levels of the firm.
Studying towards or recently qualified in a recognised professional accounting qualification. Previous Financial Services experience is preferred.
Experience using tools such as Power BI, Oracle Analytics Server, Power Query, SQL, and Python would be advantageous.
Strong data analysis and manipulation skills, with advanced proficiency in Excel and the Microsoft Office suite.
Experience of building effective working relationships and working collaboratively across teams.
