About The Role
Reporting to the Senior Maintenance Manager, this is a pivotal role at our Hammondville site. This varied role includes maintaining and repairing buildings, grounds and gardens on site; managing contractors; stakeholder engagement and monitoring and managing a budget. This is a full-time permanent position, based at Hammondville.

Key Responsibilities Include
- Ensuring a safe environment for staff, residents, clients, volunteers and visitors by ensuring compliance with WHS requirements, adhering to policies and procedures and documentation meets accreditation standards
- Managing contractors including scheduling, inductions, ensuring service agreements are in place and liaising with Service Manager
- Contributing to the development of the Preventative Maintenance Program, ensuring work requests are responded to competently and within agreed timeframes
- Documenting of works performed is completed accurately and efficiently
- Attending mandatory and non-mandatory training and applying this learning to improve service delivery and comply with Industry requirements
- Managing un-scheduled events and responding proactively
- Communicating with Management and other staff
- Ensuring Maintenance budget is monitored and managed
About You
- Commitment to engage and align with HammondCare’s Christian Mission, Motivation and Mission in Action
- A trade qualification relevant to a Facilities Maintenance or Construction environment
- At least 3 years demonstrated experience working in a Construction or Facilities Maintenance role
- A current NSW White card
- Demonstrated ability to effectively manage complex and competing demands, under dynamic time pressures
- Demonstrated experience in applying initiative and creative problem-solving on the job
- Strong computer skills (Excel and Word)
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a dynamic team environment, under minimal supervision
- A current driver’s licence and a willingness to travel between HammondCare sites and services
