Senior DevOps Engineer – Hybrid, London (Contract, Inside IR35)

We are seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to join a high-profile financial services project, supporting a global payments leader. This is a hybrid role based in London , offering an initial 6-12 month contract inside IR35 .

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead build and installation tasks within a complex DevOps environment.
• Automate software development and deployment processes.
• Manage infrastructure, ensuring reliability, scalability, and security.
• Work with cloud platforms, containerization technologies, and orchestration tools.
• Deploy, monitor, and optimize applications using Elastic Stack (ELK) and OpenShift.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize system performance.
• Mentor junior engineers, sharing best practices and knowledge.

Skills & Experience Required:

• Extensive experience in DevOps roles, preferably in large-scale enterprise environments.
• Strong expertise in Elastic Stack (ELK) – Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana, and Beats for logging, monitoring, and observability.
• Proficiency in Red Hat OpenShift , Kubernetes, and container orchestration.
• Hands-on experience with Jenkins, Git, Docker, and CI/CD automation .
• Strong scripting skills and experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools.
• Solid understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
