We are seeking a proactive leader with a proven track record in environmental management or public sector service delivery. You should be adept at navigating financial pressures, managing complex stakeholder relationships, and delivering results within a fast-paced, regulated environment.
As a key member of the leadership team, you will manage and inspire several critical service areas, including:
- Environmental & Regulatory Services
- Heritage & Green/Blue Infrastructure
- Waste & Place Clienting
- Climate Change & Emergency Planning
Key Accountabilities
- Strategic Leadership: Provide clear direction to align environmental and regulatory services with our corporate vision and priorities.
- Policy & Strategy: Oversee the development and monitoring of robust strategies for waste, climate change, and emergency planning.
- Innovation & Improvement: Lead corporate change initiatives, finding affordable and innovative ways to enhance service delivery for our residents.
- Financial Stewardship: Manage approved budgets effectively, ensuring value for money and alignment with the Medium-Term Financial Plan.
- Compliance: Ensure all activities remain fully compliant with current legislation, regulations, and local policies.
