We’re currently recruiting for a Year 3 Teacher to join a friendly and inclusive primary school in Shepherd’s Bush, Hammersmith & Fulham on a long-term supply basis.
This is a full-time placement running until October half term, ideal for a teacher who wants the consistency of a longer-term role while working within a supportive primary school.
With around 200 pupils, the school has a close-knit feel and places real importance on creating a positive environment where children are encouraged to enjoy learning and achieve their potential.
About the Role
You’ll be taking on a Year 3 class and will be expected to provide consistent, engaging teaching throughout the placement.
The school is looking for someone who can quickly become part of the team, establish a positive classroom environment and build strong relationships with pupils.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Taking responsibility for a Year 3 class
- Delivering engaging lessons across the primary curriculum
- Adapting teaching to support different abilities and learning needs
- Maintaining positive behaviour and high expectations
- Monitoring pupil progress and providing appropriate feedback
- Building positive relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues
- Working alongside the wider teaching team
- Following school policies and safeguarding procedures
What Kind of Teacher Are They Looking For?
The school would suit a teacher who is confident, reliable and adaptable, with the ability to settle into an established classroom quickly.
You’ll need to have a good understanding of the Year 3 curriculum and be comfortable managing a class independently. Most importantly, the school is looking for someone who genuinely enjoys working with children and is committed to helping them make progress.
QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification is required.
