About the Role

Hammersmith & Fulham Council is seeking experienced Social Work Team Managers to lead and deliver our Independent Living vision. The role involves managing high‑performing front‑line social work teams, applying complex statutory responsibilities and fostering collaboration with community partners.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and deliver the vision for Independent Living.
  • Manage and support a high‑performing front‑line social work team.
  • Apply statutory responsibilities including safeguarding, Mental Capacity Act practice, Care Act assessments, and strengths‑based planning.
  • Collaborate with key community partners to enable positive change.
  • Support strengths‑based practice that enables residents to live well and age well in their communities.

Qualifications

  • Social Work England registered.
  • Post‑qualifying experience at Team Manager level.
  • Relevant professional qualification, e.g., a recognised Management Qualification, Social Work England registration, or HCPC Registered Occupational Therapist.
