About The Role
Do you enjoy building trusted partnerships that deliver real impact? Are you comfortable working across sectors from business and academia to the NHS and local government and are you motivated by place based innovation? We’re looking for a Strategic Partnerships Lead to help shape and deliver high impact collaborations at the heart of Upstream London, H&F’s industrial strategy to drive inclusive growth, innovation and local opportunity. You’ll join the Strategic Partnerships team within our Place Directorate, working alongside Nexus, the H&F x Imperial College London partnership. Together, we convene partners across academia, industry and the public sector to tackle real world challenges and strengthen the borough’s innovation ecosystem.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development and delivery of a portfolio of strategic partnerships and initiatives, including designing and delivering collaborative innovation programmes that support STEM business growth.
- Take forward Living Labs and democratising innovation initiatives with partners such as Imperial College London and the NHS.
- Support the Upstream London Strategic Advisory Board.
- Develop initiatives that strengthen the local ecosystem for entrepreneurs, startups and scale ups.
- Play a key external facing role, building trusted relationships with senior stakeholders and representing Hammersmith & Fulham at high‑level forums, events and meetings focused on place based innovation.
- Oversee strategic communications for partnership programmes, including shaping integrated communications and marketing approaches; draft briefings and papers for senior stakeholders and C‑suite engagement; oversee the production of campaign materials, case studies and content.
- Line manage colleagues, coordinate delivery across workstreams, deputise for the Assistant Director when required, and support the identification of external funding and resources.

An experienced partnership and engagement professional who combines strategic thinking with strong delivery skills and can demonstrate experience working with senior stakeholders, navigating complexity and turning collaboration into measurable impact.
