About The Role

Hammersmith & Fulham is rated nationally by Ofsted as one of the top Local Authorities. We aim to improve the quality of our practice and the work with children, young people, and families to sustain positive change. We are recruiting two residential support workers for our Ofsted registered children's home in Hammersmith to support children with disabilities and help them achieve positive outcomes in all aspects of their lives.

The Main Work Strands Include:

  • Ensure a good quality of care is maintained, considering health, education, personal relationships and cultural and religious needs.
  • Follow current standards of care practice, including manual handling, personal care, behavioural management, medication administration, and safeguarding in the daily support of children in the Haven and in the community.
  • Undertake tasks appropriate to the role as identified in the regulatory requirements associated with Ofsted registration and the home’s statement of purpose.
  • Maintain everyday records for children and the service to record achievements, concerns and activities (daily logs, incident reports, body charts, communication book).
  • Be flexible and participate in the rota as per the needs of the service, including early, late, sleep‑in shifts, waking nights, weekends and public holidays throughout the year.
