About The Role

With over 30,000 private rented homes in the borough and rising expectations following major legislative reform, the Private Sector Housing Service is undergoing a major transformation to become more proactive, tenant-focused and intelligence-driven, supported by expanded staffing and service redesign. As part of an expanded, dynamic and high-performing team, you will play a critical role in investigating housing conditions, taking enforcement action, and working with landlords and residents to improve outcomes across the borough.

Role Duties

  • Core work around the investigation of complaints of poor housing conditions, unlicensed properties, property inspections, and undertaking enforcement action as necessary.
  • High standards of customer care and communication, together with an emphasis on effective collaboration, are required.

Role Specific Qualifications

  • A formal qualification in Environmental Health, Building Surveying, Construction, or a similar field.
