About The Role
Do you enjoy coordinating people, projects and partnerships to make things happen? Are you motivated by creating real opportunities for young people and helping employers deliver great work placement experiences?
We’re looking for an Industry Placements Coordinator to support the delivery of STEM work placements at the heart of Upstream London, Hammersmith & Fulham’s economic growth strategy focused on inclusive access to good local jobs.
You’ll join the Pathway Bond Unit, a small, ambitious team working to connect local young people with employers across health tech, climate tech, digital, AI and more.
You’ll play a central role in coordinating industry placements, working closely with employer partners, schools and colleagues. This includes:
- Managing placement logistics such as matching, scheduling, documentation and employer onboarding
- Coordinating the smooth delivery of work experience placements for businesses and young people
- Supporting safeguarding, health & safety and compliance checks (where placements aren’t school led)
- Tracking employer participation, spotting risks early and resolving issues quickly
- Monitoring placement quality and capturing feedback
- Maintaining accurate delivery records and supporting reporting on outcomes
You’ll work hand in hand with school facing colleagues to ensure employers and students have a positive, well organised experience.
Who we are looking for:
A highly organised, proactive coordinator who enjoys juggling priorities, working with different stakeholders and solving problems, ideally with experience in youth, education or project based programmes.
