About The Role
Hammersmith & Fulham Council is committed to delivering a high quality, customer focused Legal Service that supports our strategic objectives and helps make life better for residents and businesses. As Head of Law (People), you will provide high level, expert legal advice to colleagues, managers and partner agencies, ensuring our approach is proactive, flexible, and grounded in strong professional values. You will create and develop a trusted, customer focused team with strong relationships across Directors and senior leaders.
In this role, you will lead and manage the People team within Legal Services, ensuring the efficient delivery of legal support across all Social Care (Adults, Children and Education) and Civil and Criminal Litigation areas, including Housing, Employment, Debt Recovery, Anti Social Behaviour and Prosecutions. This is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact across some of the Council's most vital services.
We have a hybrid working model and staff will be expected to attend the office 2-3 days a week. Staff will be supported to do this with mobile IT equipment and hot desk facilities in all offices across the borough.
