About The Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full-time Child Protection Chair/Advisor (CPA) in our Safeguarding, Review and Quality Assurance Service. Our model of practice is systemic, with a focus on relationship-based practice. We work in collaboration with families and young people.

Responsibilities

  • A recognised Social Work qualification (Degree/DipSW/CQSW)
  • A valid Social Work England registration
  • Management or supervisory experience
  • A competent knowledge and experience of safeguarding and quality assurance work
  • Provide safeguarding consultation and advice to professionals within the organisation and partner agencies
  • Chair Child Protection Conferences (using a relational strength-based approach) and other complex meetings
  • Offer an independent oversight of child protection work and contribute to raising practice standards
  • Work with analytical, motivated self-direction and ability to challenge decisions at all levels
  • Evidence intervention and oversight on the child’s file; work independently and autonomously
  • Develop career within a supportive and dynamic service with training and development opportunities
