An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full-time Child Protection Chair/Advisor (CPA) in our Safeguarding, Review and Quality Assurance Service. Our model of practice is systemic, with a focus on relationship-based practice. We work in collaboration with families and young people.
Responsibilities
- A recognised Social Work qualification (Degree/DipSW/CQSW)
- A valid Social Work England registration
- Management or supervisory experience
- A competent knowledge and experience of safeguarding and quality assurance work
- Provide safeguarding consultation and advice to professionals within the organisation and partner agencies
- Chair Child Protection Conferences (using a relational strength-based approach) and other complex meetings
- Offer an independent oversight of child protection work and contribute to raising practice standards
- Work with analytical, motivated self-direction and ability to challenge decisions at all levels
- Evidence intervention and oversight on the child’s file; work independently and autonomously
- Develop career within a supportive and dynamic service with training and development opportunities
