Jerroms is looking for an experienced Semi-Senior Accountant to join our busy and friendly accounts team. You will work with a diverse portfolio of clients across a range of industries and business sizes, giving you excellent variety and responsibility within the role. You will be responsible for managing a portfolio of clients, building strong client relationships and overseeing accounts work from preparation through to completion.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparing financial statements for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies
- Preparing corporation tax returns
- Preparing personal tax returns
- Preparing and managing monthly VAT returns
- Preparing and managing monthly payroll
- Liaising directly with clients
- Managing jobs through to completion
We are looking for someone with previous experience working within an accountancy practice who can work confidently both independently and as part of a friendly team.
Ideally, You Will
- Be AAT qualified or part-qualified, or working towards ACA/ACCA
- Have good communication and client relationship skills
- Be organised and able to manage your own portfolio of work
- Work well within a friendly team environment
- Have experience with Microsoft Office
- Possess good general computer skills
