17th July, 2026Fabric Engineer Wembley35,000 - 38,000 An excellent opportunity has become available for an experienced Fabric Engineer to join a professional facilities maintenance team at a prestigious commercial site in Wembley.

This is a static role, ideal for someone looking to work in a modern environment with a supportive team and long-term career prospects.

This is a Monday to Friday position, working 8:00am - 5:00pm, offering a great work-life balance with no regular weekend work.

The Role As a Fabric Engineer, you will be responsible for carrying out both planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive fabric repairs across the site.

You'll complete daily building inspections, maintain accurate site records, liaise with contractors, and provide support to the wider M&E maintenance team when required.

Key Responsibilities Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and routine fabric inspections.

Respond to reactive maintenance requests, identifying faults and completing repairs efficiently.

Undertake a variety of building fabric tasks, including: Carpentry repairs (doors, locks, hinges, skirting, architraves)Patch plastering and plasterboard repairs Painting and decorating Basic plumbing repairs, including tap replacements, leaks, and blockages Minor electrical fabric tasks such as lamp changes and socket faceplate replacements Complete fire door inspections, adjustments, and minor repairs to ensure compliance.

Carry out minor flooring, tiling, sealant, and general cosmetic repairs.

Replace ceiling tiles and assist with investigating minor leaks within suspended ceilings.

Maintain accurate maintenance records and update site logbooks.

Work closely with contractors and the on-site engineering team.

Requirements Previous experience as a Fabric Engineer, Building Fabric Technician, or in a similar commercial maintenance role.

Strong practical skills across carpentry, painting and decorating, basic plumbing, and general building maintenance.

Ability to work independently and prioritise workloads effectively.

Good communication skills with a proactive and customer-focused approach.
