An exciting opportunity for a Contract Manager to join a privately owned M&E maintenance provider in Kent. The established business is currently looking for a Contract Manager who is motivated and ambitious to achieve the most out of their career. With a consistent stream of contract awards, the position will be working closely with the business owner from their office based near Tonbridge, Kent, being responsible for a portfolio of maintenance contracts across London and surrounding areas. Key duties & Responsibilities
- Reporting to Owner
- Technical support for both the client and the engineering team
- Responsible for managing the company's quality procedures on site
- Management of client relationships on a daily basis
- Attending client meetings
- Dealing with client's requirements including additional projects / works
- Recruitment
- Develop staff, annual appraisals etc.
- Manage staff absenteeism and be responsible for disciplinary issues
- Winning and managing additional business opportunities
- Responsible for the permit system
- Responsible for managing the company's H&S and environmental performance on the contract
Requirements
- Technically qualified - Apprenticeship / City & Guilds qualifications in Electrical Installations / Mechanical Engineering / Air Conditioning / HVAC
- Experience in managing contracts / maintenance teams
- Experience working in Commercial / Retail / High-end Residential environments
- Personable and good people skills
- Driven and motivated
- Computer skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
