Interim Management Accountant | Product Costing Location: Burton-on-Trent Day Rate: £250-£350 per day Contract: 3-6 months Working Pattern: Fully onsite We are currently recruiting for an Interim Management Accountant to join an established business based in Burton-on-Trent . This is a hands-on interim position suited to a Management Accountant with experience in a product-led or manufacturing environment , particularly someone with strong experience across product costing, margin analysis and commercial finance . Key Responsibilities Prepare accurate monthly management accounts and financial reporting. Analyse product costs, margins and profitability . Take ownership of product costing and standard costing processes. Investigate cost and margin variances and provide meaningful commentary. Support budgeting, forecasting and financial planning . Analyse manufacturing costs, including labour, materials and overheads . Work closely with operational, production and commercial teams to understand cost drivers. Provide financial insight to support pricing and commercial decision-making . Maintain strong balance sheet controls and reconciliations. Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, reporting and controls. Support the wider Finance team with ad hoc analysis and projects. About You We are looking for someone who can hit the ground running and add value quickly. Ideally, you will have: Strong Management Accounting experience within manufacturing or a product-led business . Proven experience with product costing / standard costing . Strong understanding of margins, cost drivers and profitability . Experience producing management accounts, budgets and forecasts. Strong Excel and financial analysis skills. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. A hands-on, commercially focused approach. Ability to work onsite in Burton-on-Trent . Interested?
