Salary: Β£30,000 per annum

The Opportunity

We are currently recruiting for a Payroll Administrator to join a growing and supportive organisation on a permanent basis. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced payroll professional who is confident managing end-to-end payroll. You will be responsible for processing payrolls from start to finish across a portfolio of clients, ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time while delivering an exceptional level of customer service. Working primarily from home, you will benefit from the flexibility of remote working with occasional travel to the Reading office for team meetings and collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing end-to-end payroll for a portfolio of clients.
  • Processing weekly, fortnightly and monthly payrolls accurately and on time.
  • Processing starters, leavers, salary changes and contractual amendments.
  • Calculating statutory payments including SSP, SMP, SPP and SAP.
  • Managing pension auto-enrolment and pension submissions.
  • Submitting RTI returns to HMRC and ensuring payroll compliance.
  • Processing overtime, bonuses, commissions and deductions.
  • Reconciling payroll reports and investigating discrepancies.
  • Responding to payroll queries from clients and employees.
  • Building strong client relationships and delivering an excellent payroll service.
  • Maintaining accurate payroll records and ensuring compliance with current legislation.
  • Supporting continuous improvement across payroll processes.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Previous experience processing end-to-end payroll.
  • Experience managing multiple payrolls simultaneously.
  • A strong understanding of payroll legislation and HMRC requirements.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Experience using payroll software and Microsoft Excel.
  • The ability to work independently within a remote working environment.
