Job Title: Senior National Account Manager / National Account Manager – FMCG
Salary: £45,000.00 to £55,000.00 + commission
Location: Home based with regular travel to key customers

The Business
A fast-growing FMCG business operating within the vegan and plant-based sector, offering a full sales, marketing and distribution service across owned brands and exclusive UK distribution partnerships. The business operates across multiple high-growth categories including health, confectionery, drinks, supplements and gifting, supplying major UK retailers and online platforms.
This is a senior, commercially focused role with real autonomy and board-level exposure.
The Role
We are seeking an experienced and commercially driven Senior National Account Manager / National Account Manager to take full ownership of key national retail accounts while also driving new business growth. This role combines strategic account management, commercial negotiation, P&L ownership and involvement in new product development.
Key Responsibilities

Full ownership and development of major national retail accounts across grocery, specialist retail and online channels

Build and execute strategic account plans to deliver agreed sales targets, margin and long-term growth

Proactively identify and secure new national accounts and distribution opportunities

Lead commercial negotiations including pricing, promotions, JBPs and contractual terms, with profitability at the forefront

Full responsibility for customer-level P&Ls, delivering signed-off sales budgets and margin targets

Monitor and analyse sales performance, market trends and competitor activity to identify risks and opportunities

Deliver clear monthly reporting to the board including performance updates, forecasts and market insight

Play a key role in annual sales budgeting and promotional planning, securing board sign-off

Conduct gap analysis across existing accounts to unlock incremental growth

Contribute to NPD discussions, product ranging and launch strategies

Work closely with internal teams to ensure smooth execution and high levels of customer satisfaction
About You

Proven experience as a National Account Manager or Senior National Account Manager within FMCG

Track record managing major UK retail accounts

Strong commercial capability with hands-on ownership of customer profitability and P&Ls

Confident negotiator with experience balancing growth and margin

Comfortable operating at board level and presenting commercial plans

Highly organised, analytical and commercially minded

Self-motivated and effective in a largely remote working environment

Confident using CRM systems and Microsoft tools, with openness to AI-driven productivity (eg Microsoft Copilot)

Willing to travel to customers as required
