Hamilton Woods are currently recruiting for a social housing provider to recruit for a H&S Advisor to cover maternity on a 12-month FTC. The role will require one day in their offices, with some travel to site.

Duties and Responsibilities of the H&S Advisor:

  • Assisting the H&S Manager in leading and embedding a strong and robust health and safety culture across the organisation
  • Implementing H&S Team actions.
  • Assisting with the development of policies and procedures in relation to health and safety.
  • Supporting management in ensuring effective H&S systems are being operated within
  • Contributing to the risk assessment processes, including safe systems of work and COSHH, under the guidance of the H&S Manager.
  • Working with the H&S Manager and the HR team to help identify H&S training requirements.
  • Assisting in the delivery of H&S training where appropriate.
  • Preparing and reporting on H&S performance.
  • Overseeing the accident and incident management system and ensure investigations are completed in a timely manner.
  • Providing advice and guide investigations for accidents, incidents and near misses.

Essential Requirements of the H&S Advisor:

  • NEBOSH Certificate in Health and Safety
  • Experience of working within a H&S team
  • Experience dealing and responding to H&S queries
  • Experience being involved in risk assessments, accidents, near misses, audit and investigations
  • Full UK Driving Licence and access to own vehicle
