Job Title Interim Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Location Leicester – Hybrid Day Rate £900 – £1,100 per day (outside IR35) Duration 3-6 months, potential to extend Company Overview We are a fast-growing, private equity-backed manufacturing business entering a critical phase of its growth and transformation journey. With ambitious value creation targets, operational change programmes, and a strong M&A pipeline, we are seeking an accomplished interim CFO who can provide immediate leadership, investor confidence, and operational discipline in a fast-paced environment. Role Overview Reporting to the CEO and working closely with the Board and PE investors, you will take full ownership of the finance agenda. This will include delivering robust financial reporting, strengthening operational finance processes across manufacturing sites, and providing the strategic insight required to meet both short-term performance and long-term growth goals. Key Responsibilities Act as the primary financial partner to the CEO, Board, and PE stakeholders, driving the company\’s strategic and operational agenda Oversee all financial operations, including FP&A, financial control, and statutory reporting across multiple manufacturing sites Deliver clear, investor-ready board reporting and value creation updates Lead the annual budget, forecasting, and long-range planning process in line with PE growth objectives Strengthen cost control, margin analysis, and manufacturing performance reporting Drive process improvement and implement scalable finance systems across production facilities Manage cash flow forecasting and working capital optimisation, with a focus on inventory and supply chain finance Support M&A transactions, due diligence, and integration of acquired businesses Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing finance team across operational and central functions Ensure compliance with statutory, regulatory, and lender requirements Key Requirements Proven track record as a CFO in a private equity-backed manufacturing or industrial environment Strong experience in multi-site operations, cost control, and manufacturing finance metrics Expertise in scaling finance functions to support rapid growth and operational change Hands-on, commercially astute, and comfortable working closely with site leadership teams Significant M&A and post-acquisition integration experience ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified (or equivalent) Personal Attributes Highly commercial, analytical, and results-oriented Gravitas to influence investors, Boards, and senior leadership Resilient and adaptable in fast-moving, entrepreneurial settings Strong communicator with the ability to distil complex financial data into actionable insight Contact Joe Gorman Mobile: (phone number removed) Email
