Hamilton Woods Associates are currently recruiting for an Income Officer on a permanent basis, to join an organisation based in Manchester.
Duties and Responsibilities of the Income Officer:
- Manage the collection and oversight of rental income, ensuring targets and procedures are met.
- Address tenant inquiries, providing regular updates on the status of their accounts and resolving queries promptly.
- Stay informed on current housing legislation and Welfare Reform, particularly how welfare benefits may impact tenants' ability to pay rent.
- Identify households requiring specialist support and collaborate with Welfare Benefits, Tenancy Support services, and other agencies to assist tenants in maintaining their tenancy.
- Take appropriate legal action in cases of arrears, including attending court hearings and eviction proceedings when necessary.
- Contribute to the association's financial inclusion initiatives, such as supporting access to digital training and employment pathways.
Essential Requirements of the Income Officer:
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Previous experience within housing management and income recovery
