Hamilton Woods Associates are currently working on behalf of a not-for-profit organisation, who are recruiting for an Independent Domestic Violence Advocate to work with individuals and families affected by domestic violence. This role is a community based project that will require travel across Kirklees.

Responsibilities of the Independent Domestic Violence Advocate:

  • Building strong relationships with individuals and families affected by domestic violence
  • Advocating for survivors
  • Reviewing support plans
  • Signposting clients to other services
  • Managing high risk cases
  • Ensuring compliance with safeguarding, confidentiality and data protection
  • Providing support around housing, criminal justice, health and finances
  • Working in partnership and collaborating with partners and stakeholders
  • Actively engaging clients and promote involvement in the service

Essential Criteria of the Independent Domestic Violence Advocate:

  • UK Driving License and access to own vehicle
  • Enhanced DBS
  • Experience working with those fleeing domestic abuse
