We are partnering with a large, well-established construction / housebuilding business to recruit an FP&A Manager into a senior, high-impact role supporting a significant regional operation. This position sits at the heart of financial planning, forecasting and performance insight, working closely with the Finance Director and senior leadership team to drive informed decision-making, strengthen financial control, and support ongoing finance transformation.
The Role
As FP&A Manager, you will lead financial planning, forecasting and performance reporting, ensuring leadership teams have clear, accurate and actionable insight into results, risks and opportunities.
Key responsibilities include:
- Owning and coordinating the budgeting, forecasting and long-range planning cycles
- Producing weekly, monthly and ad-hoc performance reporting, including management accounts and year-end requirements
- Delivering high-quality financial analysis, variance commentary and forecasting insight
- Supporting commercial decision-making through scenario modelling, benchmarking and business unit analysis
- Maintaining and promoting a robust financial control and reporting environment
- Acting as a senior point of contact for technical accounting queries and application of finance policies
- Leading engagement with internal and external audit
- Partnering with Group Finance and peers on process improvement, standardisation and systems enhancement
- Deputising for the Finance Director at senior forums where required
- Supporting joint ventures / joint operations from a planning and reporting perspective
Role Requirements:
- Housebuilding or Construction experience
- Exposure to COINS or similar ERP systems
- Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent) with strong post-qualification experience
- Proven background in FP&A, financial planning, forecasting or commercial finance
- Strong technical accounting knowledge, including IFRS
- Experience operating in a complex, multi-stakeholder environment
- Able to translate financial data into clear, compelling insight for senior leaders and Board-level audiences
- Confident influencer with both finance and non-finance stakeholders
- Demonstrated ability to drive change, improve processes and enhance reporting quality
- Strong Excel and general IT capability
