Hamilton Woods Associates are working with a charity that is looking for a Supported Housing Officer to work with males fleeing domestic violence.

Responsibilities:

  • Providing housing and tenancy related support to males fleeing domestic violence.
  • Identifying their needs and agreeing a programme of support via floating support, telephone support or housing related support.
  • Ensuring that the telephone helpline is staffed.
  • Referring men into the crash pad accommodation and ensuring that they receive a high level of support to move on into more appropriate accommodation.
  • Supporting men living within dispersed units of longer-term accommodation.
  • Managing referrals and conducting needs and risk assessments.
  • Conducting health and safety checks.
  • Completing inductions.
  • Ensuring clients adhere to their tenancy agreements.
  • Fostering joint working with other agencies and services to provide holistic support.
  • Assisting with benefit applications.

Essential criteria:

  • Enhanced DBS or willingness to undergo one.
  • Experience with vulnerable clients within a housing support capacity.
  • UK driving license and access to own vehicle.
