Hamilton Woods Associates are currently working on behalf of a not-for-profit organisation, who are recruiting for an Independent Domestic Violence Advocate to work with individuals and families affected by domestic violence. This role is a community based project that will require travel across Kirklees.
Responsibilities of the Independent Domestic Violence Advocate:
- Building strong relationships with individuals and families affected by domestic violence
- Advocating for survivors
- Reviewing support plans
- Signposting clients to other services
- Managing high risk cases
- Ensuring compliance with safeguarding, confidentiality and data protection
- Providing support around housing, criminal justice, health and finances
- Working in partnership and collaborating with partners and stakeholders
- Actively engaging clients and promote involvement in the service
Essential Criteria of the Independent Domestic Violence Advocate:
- UK Driving License and access to own vehicle
- Enhanced DBS
- Experience working with those fleeing domestic abuse
