Housing Officer

Hamilton Woods Associates are currently recruiting for a Housing Officer on a temporary basis for 8-12 weeks, to join an organisation based in Essex.
Duties of the Housing Officer role will include, but is not limited to:
- Manage tenancy related requests including permissions, assignments, successions, mutual exchanges and joint tenancy applications.
- Identify any support or welfare needs at the start of a tenancy and put appropriate support in place to help customers sustain their home.
- Manage tenancy breaches, using appropriate interventions such as warnings and notices and prepare documentation for court action where required.
- Carry out home visits and property inspections to address tenancy, property or support concerns.
- Support customers with complex needs to sustain their tenancies, resolve tenancy breaches and understand their rights and responsibilities.
- Work with partner agencies including local authorities, police, social services, healthcare and voluntary organisations to support customers and achieve positive outcomes.
The successful candidate for the Housing Officer will have:
- Full UK Driving Licence.
