Accounts Assistant 📍 Loughborough 💼 Full-Time, Permanent, Office Based – Flexi Hours 💰 £30,000 – £35,000 DOE Hamilton Woods is proud to be partnering with a dynamic, fast-growing company based in Loughborough, in search of a tenacious Accounts Assistant eager to contribute during an exciting period of expansion. In this varied and hands-on role, you\’ll take ownership of key transactional finance tasks, ensuring accuracy across our sales and purchase ledger activities. Working closely with the Finance Manager, you\’ll also help streamline processes and support month-end reporting. Key Responsibilities: Maintain and reconcile the sales ledger (invoicing, credit notes, aged debt) Manage the purchase ledger (supplier invoicing, statement reconciliations, payment runs) Perform bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies Assist in month-end close procedures Post journals, accruals, and prepayments Help prepare monthly management accounts Support budgeting and variance analysis Contribute to cash flow forecasting and reporting Maintain accurate records in Xero and support system improvements Liaise with internal teams to improve finance processes and controlsRole Requirements: Proven experience in an Accounts Assistant or similar finance role Strong working knowledge of Xero Solid understanding of both sales and purchase ledger processes High attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving Excellent organisational skills with the ability to meet deadlines Exposure to or interest in management accounting and financial reporting A finance or accounting graduate, ideally studying towards ACCA, AAT, or CIMA High attention to detail and proactive in problem-solving Able to manage own workload and support a growing finance functionPlease apply or send your CV to (url removed)
