Hamilton Woods Associates are currently recruiting for an experienced Support Manager to join an established supported accommodation provider, overseeing a team of Support Workers and ensuring high-quality, person-centred support is consistently delivered across supported exempt accommodation services.
Duties and Responsibilities of the Support Manager:
- Manage, supervise and support a team of Support Workers
- Monitor staff performance and ensure support is delivered consistently and to the required standard
- Monitor and audit weekly support sessions and associated documentation
- Review support plans, risk assessments, needs assessments and resident records
- Carry out regular property visits, resident welfare checks and staff spot checks
- Complete internal audits and quality assurance checks
- Identify gaps in support delivery or documentation and ensure corrective action is completed
- Ensure safeguarding concerns, incidents and risks are appropriately recorded and escalated
- Liaise with Local Authorities, Councils, Registered Providers, Social Workers, Probation, mental health teams and other partner agencies
- Attend stakeholder meetings where required
- Monitor staff training, supervision and development requirements
- Provide regular management reports covering support delivery, compliance, incidents, safeguarding and staff performance
- Ensure accurate records are maintained across internal CRM and management systems
Essential Requirements of the Support Manager:
- Previous experience working within supported exempt accommodation
- Experience supervising, managing or leading Support Workers or a similar frontline team
- Level 3 qualification in Adult Health & Social Care / Health & Social Care (Desirable)
- Good knowledge of safeguarding, risk management and person-centred support
- Experience completing or reviewing support plans, risk assessments and support documentation
- Strong auditing and quality assurance skills
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Confidence communicating with councils, Registered Providers and other professional stakeholders
- Ability to manage staff performance and maintain high standards
- Full UK Driving Licence and access to a vehicle, as regular travel between properties will be required
