We are currently seeking a Multidisciplinary Nurse to join our exceptional team at Hamilton Specialist Referrals – we can consider full time or part time applications for this role. HSR was born of the belief that there is room for a new wave of veterinary excellence across the UK. There is a strong focus on providing a personal and reassuring client experience from first contact through to discharge. Excellent clinical care delivered in a friendly and supportive manner to referring vets is paramount to the team. The hospital is operational 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and can offer the most advanced treatment options available for orthopaedic, neurology, soft tissue, and internal medicine cases. We have a dedicated imaging suite, which includes a 16‑slice CT scanner, 1.5 Tesla MRI, fluoroscopy, separate radiography and ultrasound rooms.

As a Multidisciplinary Nurse, you’ll provide exceptional nursing care to patients within a multidisciplinary referral hospital, working collaboratively with specialists, RVNs, VCAs, and support teams. The role involves rotating through Wards and High Dependency Unit (HDU), diagnostics, and surgery services, ensuring the highest standards of patient care, clinical excellence, and client service are maintained at all times.

Working Pattern

  • Full‑time: 4 × 9.25‑hour shifts per week plus 1 in 6 weekends.
  • Part‑time: 2 or 3 × 9.25‑hour shifts per week plus 1 in 6 weekends.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high quality patient care from admission to discharge.
  • Provide intensive nursing care to critically ill and post‑operative patients in Wards and HDU.
  • Assist clinicians with consultations, investigations and advanced procedures in diagnostics, including internal medicine and neurology.
  • Prepare patients for surgical procedures, assist with anaesthetic monitoring and recovery, and deliver post‑operative care.
