An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Mobile Chiller Engineer to join a well-established and highly respected Air Conditioning and Refrigeration specialist operating across London and the surrounding regions. Due to continued business growth and the successful acquisition of new contracts, the company is looking to strengthen its engineering team. As a Mobile Chiller Engineer, you will be responsible for carrying out service, maintenance, fault finding, and repair work across a diverse portfolio of commercial properties, including office buildings, retail premises, critical environments, data centres, and banking facilities throughout London and the Home Counties.
Key Responsibilities- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM), reactive repairs, and emergency breakdown response on commercial chiller systems.
- Diagnose faults, investigate system issues, and carry out effective repairs to minimise downtime.
- Service and maintain a variety of chiller equipment, including:
- Reciprocating (Recip) Chillers
- Centrifugal Chillers
- Turbocor Systems
- Perform F-Gas compliance inspections and maintenance.
- Repair and replace key components including:
- Compressors
- Controls and Control Systems
- Condensers
- Expansion Valves
- Condenser Fans
- Evaporators
- Carry out refrigerant retrofits, leak detection, pressure testing using oxygen-free nitrogen (OFN), and system commissioning activities.
- Complete all service reports and statutory documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
- NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in Air Conditioning & Refrigeration (or equivalent qualification).
- Valid F-Gas Category 1 / 2079 Safe Handling of Refrigerants certification.
- Minimum 5 years' experience servicing, maintaining, and repairing commercial chiller systems.
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Located within a commutable distance of Central London.
- Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 DOE
