We've got an excellent role for a Mobile Maintenance Engineer to join our client to cover a portfolio of commercial sites based in Hertfordshire! This is a great opportunity if you're looking to avoid commuting to central London, join a growing company and receive valuable career progression!
As a Mobile Maintenance Engineer, you will be charged with overseeing a portfolio of commercial sites, manage client expectations and taking initiative. For this position, you will carry out PPM and reactive maintenance on mechanical and electrical systems, troubleshoot / fault find, diagnose faults, carry out compliance related tasks, manage logbooks and contractors and ensure the clients are satisfied with the service.
Mobile Maintenance Engineer Duties:- Carry out PPM and reactive mechanical maintenance.
- Work on motors, generators (on/off load testing), shutdowns, AHUs, FCUs, VAVs, sprinkler systems, pumps, belts, bearings, seals, and water treatment systems.
- Operate and have an understanding of BMS systems.
- Safely isolate plant and equipment in line with site and statutory safety procedures.
- Ensure all corrective and repair works comply with current regulations and standards.
- Promote safe working practices and high-quality workmanship.
- Coordinate and supervise subcontractors where required.
- Complete logbooks, RAMS, reports, and permits to work.
- Raise and close jobs using PDA systems.
- Fully qualified in Mechanical Engineering (City & Guilds, NVQ, or equivalent).
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience within commercial building maintenance.
- Strong communication skills with a professional, client-facing approach.
- Apprentice-trained background (desirable).
- Full UK driving licence.
- £40,000 - £42,000 per annum
- Van, fuel card, PPE and tools provided
- Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm
- 25 days annual leave + Bank holidays
- Covering Hertfordshire only
- Overtime available
- Internal progression
