A leading global facilities management provider is seeking a Senior BMS Engineer to take full ownership of the Building Management System at a prestigious commercial site in Canary Wharf. This is a static, site-based role offering genuine autonomy, technical ownership, and long-term stability at a flagship London location.
The Role
You will be the on-site BMS authority, responsible for ensuring the system operates at optimum performance. The position blends hands-on technical work with a proactive, improvement-led mindset, playing a key role in energy efficiency, system reliability, and overall building performance.
Key Responsibilities
- End-to-end responsibility for the site’s BMS operation and performance
- Planned and reactive maintenance, fault finding, and system optimisation
- Interrogating BMS data to drive efficiency and energy reduction initiatives
- Working closely with on-site engineering teams, specialist contractors, and suppliers
- Ensuring all BMS works are delivered in line with H&S and statutory compliance
- Managing critical spares and supporting supply chain coordination
About You
- Strong background working with BMS systems in live environments
- Electrically qualified (18th Edition, NVQ, City & Guilds or equivalent)
- Experience within large commercial or critical buildings
- Proactive, solutions-focused, and confident taking ownership of a site
- Clear communicator with a structured and methodical approach
Package
- £70,000 – £80,000 salary, dependent on experience
- 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays
