We are currently recruiting for an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join a growing engineering team delivering maintenance services across a portfolio of secure commercial properties in the Oxford, Reading and Swindon region. The Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM), reactive maintenance and fault-finding across electrical and building services systems. The role will involve working across multiple sites within the region and participating in the standby callout rota.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carrying out electrical PPMs and reactive maintenance within agreed SLAs
  • Fault finding and repair on electrical systems and associated plant
  • Supporting with general building services maintenance including HVAC, mechanical and fabric tasks
  • Issuing and managing Permits to Work
  • Monitoring subcontractors and ensuring works are completed to required standards
  • Ensuring all equipment operates efficiently and safely
  • Maintaining accurate maintenance records and documentation
  • Ensuring compliance with health & safety regulations, risk assessments and COSHH
  • Providing a professional and customer-focused service at all times
  • Supporting continuous improvement and service innovation initiatives

Requirements

Essential Qualifications

  • City & Guilds Electrical qualifications (2365 / 2330 / 2360 or equivalent)
  • NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation
  • Inspection & Testing qualification (2391 or 2394/2395 desired)
  • Full UK Driving Licence

Experience Required

  • Previous experience within Facilities Management or Building Services maintenance
  • Strong fault-finding and reactive maintenance experience
  • Experience working on commercial properties
  • Good understanding of compliance and safe systems of work

Package

  • Salary between £45,000 - £50,000
  • Monday to Friday, 8am - 5pm
  • Company van with personal use option
  • £150 standby payment (1 in 7)
  • 25 days annual leave, increasing to 28 days with service + Bank Holidays
  • Option to purchase additional annual leave
