We are currently recruiting for an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join a growing engineering team delivering maintenance services across a portfolio of secure commercial properties in the Oxford, Reading and Swindon region. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established facilities management provider offering long-term stability, career progression and the chance to work within a supportive and expanding engineering team.
The Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM), reactive maintenance and fault-finding across electrical and building services systems. The role will involve working across multiple sites within the region and participating in the standby callout rota.
Key Responsibilities
- Carrying out electrical PPMs and reactive maintenance within agreed SLAs
- Fault finding and repair on electrical systems and associated plant
- Supporting with general building services maintenance including HVAC, mechanical and fabric tasks
- Issuing and managing Permits to Work
- Monitoring subcontractors and ensuring works are completed to required standards
- Ensuring all equipment operates efficiently and safely
- Maintaining accurate maintenance records and documentation
- Ensuring compliance with health & safety regulations, risk assessments and COSHH
- Providing a professional and customer-focused service at all times
- Supporting continuous improvement and service innovation initiatives
Requirements
Essential Qualifications
- City & Guilds Electrical qualifications (2365 / 2330 / 2360 or equivalent)
- NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation
- Inspection & Testing qualification (2391 or 2394/2395 desired)
- Full UK Driving Licence
Experience Required
- Previous experience within Facilities Management or Building Services maintenance
- Strong fault-finding and reactive maintenance experience
- Experience working on commercial properties
- Good understanding of compliance and safe systems of work
Package
- Salary between £45,000 - £50,000
- Monday to Friday, 8am - 5pm
- Company van with personal use option
- £150 standby payment (1 in 7)
- 25 days annual leave, increasing to 28 days with service + Bank Holidays
- Option to purchase additional annual leave
