We are currently recruiting for an experienced Foot Mobile A/C Engineer to join our client on a brand-new commercial contract covering some of London’s most prestigious buildings across the City of London and West End. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced A/C Engineer looking to join a growing building services organisation, offering excellent career development, progression and the opportunity to gain valuable experience working across a diverse commercial portfolio.

As a Foot Mobile A/C Engineer, you will be responsible for carrying out PPM and reactive maintenance, fault finding, servicing and repairs across a range of commercial air conditioning systems. You will also attend emergency breakdowns, complete minor projects and installations, maintain site records and liaise with subcontractors where required. You will report directly to the Contract Manager and play an important role in maintaining high standards across the contract.

Duties:

  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on commercial HVAC and air conditioning equipment.
  • Attend emergency breakdowns and respond promptly to reactive maintenance issues across client sites.
  • Fault find, diagnose and repair a wide range of air conditioning systems and associated plant.
  • Carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs to commercial A/C systems.
  • Complete A/C works including minor projects, refurbishments and installations.
  • Work on a variety of systems, including:
    • Single & Multi-Split systems
    • VRV / VRF systems
    • VAV systems
    • Close Control & CRAC units
    • DX units
  • Carry out repairs and maintenance involving compressors, condensers and associated components.
  • Complete refrigerant recovery, evacuation, re-gassing and charging of systems.
  • Carry out brazing and soldering as required.
  • Diagnose system faults and provide effective solutions to minimise downtime.
  • Liaise with subcontractors and specialist contractors where required.
  • Maintain accurate site logbooks, service records and compliance documentation.
  • Ensure all statutory and compliance paperwork is completed accurately and kept up to date.
  • Build strong working relationships with clients and site teams.
  • Report any significant issues or recommendations to the Contract Manager.

Requirements:

  • F-Gas Category 1 qualification – Essential.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience within commercial air conditioning service and maintenance.
  • Strong fault-finding, diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
  • Extensive experience working on commercial A/C systems.
  • Experience with VRV/VRF, splits, DX and close-control systems.
  • Good knowledge of refrigerant systems, re-gassing, brazing and associated repairs.
  • Previous experience working across multiple commercial sites.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage a busy workload.
  • Full UK driving licence would be advantageous.
