We are seeking a skilled Fixed Wire Tester / Test & Inspection Electrician to join a dedicated electrical division delivering services across a range of commercial properties throughout the London M25 region.

This role is ideal for a qualified electrician with 2391 certification who is looking to maximise earnings through regular overtime, while gaining exposure to a diverse portfolio of commercial environments.

The Role

  • You will carry out Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs) and fixed wire testing across multiple client sites, ensuring all installations are safe, compliant, and operating efficiently.
  • You will also identify defects, recommend remedial actions, and support ongoing compliance with current electrical standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct fixed wire testing and EICRs across commercial premises
  • Diagnose faults and clearly outline required remedial works
  • Ensure compliance with BS7671 (18th Edition Wiring Regulations)
  • Accurately complete all certification and reports within deadlines
  • Act as a professional representative of the business on-site
  • Liaise effectively with clients and internal teams
  • Keep accurate records of work completed and vehicle usage
  • Adhere to all health, safety, environmental and quality procedures

Requirements

  • City & Guilds 2391 (Test & Inspection) – essential
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
  • NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installations (or equivalent)
  • Proven experience in fixed wire testing within commercial settings
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently

Package

  • £55,000 – £60,000 basic salary
  • Company van and fuel card
  • Consistent overtime opportunities
  • Monday to Friday, 12:00pm – 9:00pm
  • 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays
  • Paid travel time
