We're looking for a Mobile Maintenance Engineer to manage a portfolio of commercial sites in Hertfordshire. This role offers the chance to avoid commuting to central London, join a growing company, and advance your career.
As the Mobile Maintenance Engineer, you will oversee maintenance, manage client expectations, and take initiative across sites. Responsibilities include:
- Carrying out PPM and reactive maintenance on mechanical and electrical systems
- Troubleshooting and diagnosing faults
- Performing compliance tasks
- Managing logbooks and contractors
- Ensuring client satisfaction
Mobile Maintenance Engineer Duties:
- Carry out PPM and reactive mechanical maintenance
- Work on motors, generators (on/off load testing), shutdowns, AHUs, FCUs, VAVs, sprinkler systems, pumps, belts, bearings, seals, and water treatment systems
- Operate and have an understanding of BMS systems
- Safely isolate plant and equipment in line with site and statutory safety procedures
- Ensure all corrective and repair works comply with current regulations and standards
- Promote safe working practices and high-quality workmanship
- Coordinate and supervise subcontractors where required
- Complete logbooks, RAMS, reports, and permits to work
- Raise and close jobs using PDA systems
Mobile Maintenance Engineer Requirements:
- Fully qualified in Mechanical Engineering (City & Guilds, NVQ, or equivalent)
- Minimum of 3 years experience within commercial building maintenance
- Strong communication skills with a professional, client-facing approach
- Apprentice-trained background (desirable)
- Full UK driving licence
Salary and Package:
- £40,000 - £42,000 per annum
- Van, fuel card, PPE and tools provided
- Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm
- 25 days annual leave + Bank holidays
- Covering Hertfordshire only
- Overtime available
- Internal progression
