We’re looking for an experienced and dependable Commercial Gas Engineer to join a leading facilities management and building services provider. Working across a portfolio of secure government sites, this is a mobile position offering stability, fixed working hours, and a steady flow of both planned and reactive maintenance tasks.
You’ll be responsible for delivering high-quality service across a range of mechanical and heating systems, ensuring compliance, safety, and efficiency at all times.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on commercial gas, combustion, and heating systems.
- Undertake new installations, repairs, and fault-finding work across client sites.
- Support general building services maintenance, including HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
- Participate in the on-call rota (approx. 1 in 9/10 weeks, £150 standby).
- Maintain detailed records and ensure all tasks are completed to a high standard.
- Comply with Health & Safety and site security requirements at all times.
You’ll be an experienced Commercial Gas Engineer with a background in building services or facilities management. You should be confident working independently, managing your own workload, and maintaining professionalism across client sites.
Essential Qualifications:- Commercial Gas: COCN1 or CODNC1, TPCP1A, ICPN1, CORT1, CIGA1
- Domestic Gas: CCN1, CENWAT1, CPA1
- City & Guilds or NVQ Level 2/3 in Plumbing, HVAC, or Mechanical Engineering
- Gas Safe Registered
- Full UK Driving Licence
- £47,000 – £52,000 per annum
- Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- 25 days annual leave + bank holidays
- On-call rota (1 in 9/10 weeks, £150 standby)
