This is an excellent opportunity for a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join a leading building services provider on a unique and high-profile commercial contract in North Acton. The site is a modern science and technology-focused campus environment, offering a varied and technically challenging role within a state-of-the-art facility.
The company is a well-established maintenance provider known for investing in their engineers through ongoing training, development, and genuine opportunities for progression. This is a standalone role, ideal for an experienced and self-sufficient engineer who is confident managing daily maintenance operations on site. The successful candidate will be mechanically biased but multi-skilled, taking full responsibility for planned and reactive maintenance across the building while liaising directly with the client and specialist contractors.
Duties:- PPM (Planned Preventative Maintenance) & Reactive Maintenance
- AHUs & FCUs
- Pumps, Bearings & Mechanical Seals
- HVAC Plant
- Chilled Water Systems
- Plumbing Works
- Water Treatment Tasks
- Pressurisation Units
- Generators
- Basic Electrical Fault Finding
- Emergency Lighting Checks
- BMS Operation & Monitoring
- Escorting Specialist Contractors
- General Building Services Maintenance
- Managing site logbooks and compliance paperwork
- Building strong relationships with the client and subcontractors
- Mechanically qualified to City & Guilds Level 2 / NVQ (or equivalent)
- Multi-skilled maintenance knowledge
- Previous experience working in a standalone role – desirable
- Previous experience within commercial building services maintenance
- Good understanding of both mechanical and electrical plant
- Strong client-facing skills
- Able to work independently and manage own workload
- Apprenticeship trained – desirable
- £48,000 - £50,000 per annum
- Monday to Friday, 8AM - 5PM
- 25 Days Holiday + Bank Holidays
