We’re partnered with a client who is looking to add an experienced Shift Leader who has strong experience working in a Data Centre.
Role Summary:
Utilise electrical expertise to support the operation, maintenance, and enhancement of the sites electrical distribution systems and associated end-user loads. Perform a wide range of fault-finding, repair, and maintenance tasks, from routine to complex.
Duties:

  • Perform planned preventive maintenance (PPM) and respond to reactive electrical tasks across the campus.
  • Take ownership of the emergency lighting systems, including regular testing and maintenance in line with compliance requirements.
  • Conduct site surveys, prepare quotations, and deliver additional electrical works as requested by the client.
  • Support the management team in delivering a customer-focused, high-quality service across all operational functions.
  • Ensure all maintenance activities comply with health and safety standards, including adherence to Safe Systems of Work (SSOW).
  • Promptly escalate critical issues and respond to outages, service interruptions, and emergencies in accordance with the agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Oversee and coordinate the work of subcontractors when required.
  • Recommend system and service improvements through the Engineering Manager.
  • Communicate urgent tasks and high-priority issues clearly and promptly within the management team.
  • Reporting to senior management.

Key requirements:

  • Full time apprenticeship in Electrical Engineering with City & Guilds 236 part 1 & 2 certification or NVQ Level 3.
  • 18t Edition and Test & Inspection 2391 or 2395
  • Previous experience working in a Data Centre environment.
  • Leading a team of engineers.
  • Working off the tools.
