Shift Lead Engineer

We\’re looking for an experienced and motivated Shift Lead Engineer to take ownership of night operations across a major Heathrow terminal contract. You\’ll be leading maintenance activities in a fast-paced, high-profile environment, ensuring systems are safe, compliant, and operating at peak performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support the shift team in delivering planned and reactive maintenance tasks.
- Carry out hands-on PPMs and reactive works on mechanical and electrical systems.
- Monitor building systems and respond quickly to alarms, breakdowns, and faults.
- Maintain accurate records, shift reports, and ensure smooth handovers.
- Promote a strong culture of safety, compliance, and teamwork.
Requirements
- Fully qualified in either Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (City & Guilds, NVQ, or equivalent).
- Proven experience in building services or critical facilities maintenance.
- Excellent fault-finding skills and a proactive approach to problem solving.
- Previous experience in a lead or supervisory position preferred.
- Ability to obtain Heathrow airside clearance.

- £44,000 – £45,000
- 4 on 4 off – 18:30 – 6:30 (Night Shift)
- 20 shift days per year
