We are seeking a qualified Mobile Plumber / Mechanical Engineer to join a well-established facilities maintenance team covering a portfolio of commercial sites across the West Midlands. This is a mobile role carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPMs), reactive repairs, fault finding, and general mechanical/plumbing maintenance across multiple buildings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance, inspections, and reactive repairs across multiple sites
  • Diagnose faults and complete effective troubleshooting and repairs
  • Maintain and repair plumbing and mechanical systems including pipework, drainage, water systems, pumps, tanks, and associated equipment
  • Install, modify, and repair pipework systems including cutting, fitting, soldering, and brazing
  • Conduct leak detection, system testing, calibration, and backflow prevention works
  • Interpret technical drawings, manuals, and specifications to complete works accurately
  • Ensure all work is carried out in line with health & safety regulations and site procedures
  • Complete all service reports, maintenance records, and documentation accurately and on time
  • Liaise professionally with clients, site contacts, and internal teams
  • Participate in a 1 in 8 call-out rota

Requirements

  • NVQ or City & Guilds in Plumbing & Heating / Mechanical Systems (essential)
  • Ideally G3 Unvented qualification (or willingness to complete)
  • Strong fault-finding and reactive maintenance skills
  • Full UK driving licence (essential)
  • Comfortable working across multiple sites independently

Package & Benefits

  • £33,000 - £36,000 salary
  • £125 standby allowance (1 in 8 call-out rota)
  • Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 17:00
