Fantastic opportunity for an Engineering Manager to join a leading Building Services Maintenance Provider on a flagship contract by Bank, City of London. Working on a large commercial property, the Engineering Manager will be overseeing the day to day delivery of mechanical and electrical services, managing a team of Day and Shift Engineers, providing technical support and managing any projects and extra works on site.
Engineering Manager Duties:
- Manage and Lead a Team of Engineers providing technical support and training.
- Endorse safe working practices, quality standards conformity and best practice methods.
- Technical support for both the client and the engineering team.
- Responsible for managing the company's quality procedures on site.
- Management of client relationships on a daily basis.
- Dealing with client's requirements including additional projects / works.
- Recruitment.
- Organising and managing subcontractors.
- Develop staff, annual appraisals etc.
- Manage staff absenteeism and be responsible for disciplinary issues.
- Responsible for the permit system.
- Responsible for managing the company's H&S and environmental performance on the contract.
- Reporting to Regional Director.
Engineering Manager Requirements:
- Technically qualified - Apprenticeship, City & Guilds or industry recognised qualifications in Electrical Installations / Mechanical Engineering / Air Conditioning / HVAC.
- Experience in managing contracts / engineering maintenance teams in a financial, data centre or critical environment.
- Personable with good people skills, with the ability to communicate both verbally and in writing with all levels of staff and clients.
- Driven and motivated.
- Computer skills.
Salary and Package:
- £75,000 - £80,000 per annum.
