We're recruiting for an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established FM contract covering locations across Cumbria. This is a steady, long-term role suited to a confident electrical engineer looking for stability, good earning potential, and manageable call-out commitments. You'll be part of a wider, multi-skilled engineering team delivering planned and reactive maintenance across a portfolio of commercial sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Carrying out planned and reactive electrical maintenance
- Working on emergency lighting, distribution boards, and power circuits
- Undertaking minor mechanical and fabric repairs where required
- Participating in the on-call rota (1 in 8 to 1 in 10)
- Accurately completing paperwork and reports
- Working collaboratively within a team of 9β10 engineers across different trades
- Reporting directly to the Supervisor
Requirements
- Proven experience in electrical maintenance, ideally within an FM or commercial environment
- Candidates from an installation background will also be considered
- Level 3 City & Guilds (or equivalent) β essential
- 2391 Testing & Inspection desirable (training may be available)
- Full UK driving licence β essential
- Comfortable working across multiple sites
Package & Benefits
- Salary between Β£41,500 β Β£46,000 (dependent on experience and qualifications)
- Monday to Friday, 8:00am β 5:00pm
- Travel time included
- Some flexibility required, with occasional evening work
- On-call: Β£115 standby + minimum 4 hours paid for first call-out
- Stable role on a long-term contract
