We are seeking a skilled Fixed Wire Tester / Test & Inspection Electrician to join a dedicated electrical division delivering services across a range of commercial properties throughout the London M25 region. This role is ideal for a qualified electrician with 2391 certification who is looking to maximise earnings through regular overtime, while gaining exposure to a diverse portfolio of commercial environments.
The Role
- You will carry out Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs) and fixed wire testing across multiple client sites, ensuring all installations are safe, compliant, and operating efficiently.
- You will also identify defects, recommend remedial actions, and support ongoing compliance with current electrical standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct fixed wire testing and EICRs across commercial premises
- Diagnose faults and clearly outline required remedial works
- Ensure compliance with BS7671 (18th Edition Wiring Regulations)
- Accurately complete all certification and reports within deadlines
- Act as a professional representative of the business on-site
- Liaise effectively with clients and internal teams
- Keep accurate records of work completed and vehicle usage
- Adhere to all health, safety, environmental and quality procedures
Requirements
- City & Guilds 2391 (Test & Inspection) – essential
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
- NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installations (or equivalent)
- Proven experience in fixed wire testing within commercial settings
- Full UK driving licence
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
Package
- £55,000 – £60,000 basic salary
