Fabric Engineer
Weybridge, Surrey
Β£32,000 – Β£34,500
We\’re looking for a skilled and proactive Fabric Engineer to join a busy and supportive maintenance team based at a large, high-profile site in Weybridge.
You\’ll be carrying out a mix of planned and reactive works, ensuring the buildings are kept to the highest standards. The role covers a variety of hands-on tasks, with a particular focus on carpentry skills, but also spanning wider fabric maintenance duties.
Responsibilities
- Carrying out PPM and reactive fabric works across the site
- Carpentry and joinery tasks – doors, locks, frames, shelving, and general woodwork
- Basic plumbing repairs – taps, toilets, sinks, pipework
- Painting and decorating – touch-ups and small projects
- Tiling, plastering, and patch repairs as required
- Ceiling, flooring, and partition repairs
- Fitting signage, fixtures, and fittings
- Supporting with general building maintenance and repairs to keep facilities in excellent condition
- Following all health & safety procedures
- Recording work accurately on PDA devices and maintaining service standards
- Liaising with the client and working closely with the wider facilities team to deliver a first-class service
What We\’re Looking For
- Strong background in building/fabric maintenance
- Good carpentry/joinery skills (highly desirable)
- Additional skills across plumbing, painting, tiling, plastering, and general fabric works
- Full UK driving licence
- Fire door experience/licence beneficial (training can be provided)
- IPAF/PASMA certification desirable (training available)
Package
- Salary up to Β£34,500
- Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM working hours – no shifts!
- 25 Days Annual Leave + Bank Holidays
