We're working with a client who is looking to add four Electrical Testers to their team in Swindon. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a close-knit team and be able to work in a critical environment.
Please note, this position is working on a Day shift pattern (7am - 7pm, continental pattern) and will also require travelling to another site one/two times per month.
Electrical Testers Main Duties:- Conduct site inductions and issue relevant PTW, ATW, LOA, and dynamic risk assessments.
- Carry out escort duties for all subcontractors on site.
- Respond promptly to reactive maintenance and installation works.
- Attend emergency reactive works, breakdowns, and remedial tasks as required.
- Perform fault-finding activities and carry out necessary plant adjustments.
- Record meter readings, monitor energy consumption, and identify opportunities for proactive energy savings.
- Complete planned preventative maintenance (PPM) tasks in accordance with contract specifications.
- Utilise Manager+ and MCIM systems to close out PPM tasks and maintain accurate asset data records.
- Conduct monthly generator testing on a rotational basis with the Second Day Technician.
- Carry out weekly fire alarm testing in accordance with site requirements.
- Ensure full compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Learn, understand, and effectively use our clients' SDSK system to ensure all reactive tickets are updated and closed within agreed SLA timeframes.
- Maintain and update site logbooks where applicable.
- Monitor building fabric conditions, report issues promptly, and ensure actions are completed in line with SLA requirements.
- Minimum of 3 years experience in carrying out Electrical testing in a commercial environment.
- City and Guilds / EAL / NVQ or equivalent in Electrical Installations / Engineering (Level 3 and regulations).
- You must hold the Test & Inspection (2391 or 2394 & 2395) Qualification.
- £55,000 per annum.
