We are seeking an experienced Air Conditioning Engineer to join a well-established maintenance team in South Wales. This is a permanent, mobile role covering multiple commercial sites, with excellent working hours and the opportunity to work on a wide variety of refrigeration and air conditioning systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct preventive maintenance and reactive repairs on air conditioning and refrigeration systems, including compressors, chillers, commercial and retail refrigeration units, and system controls.
- Inspect, repair, modify, and install refrigeration equipment and associated controls.
- Replace or repair defective components such as thermostats, fans, motors, compressors, belts, heat exchangers, valves, and safety controls.
- Carry out other building services maintenance tasks, including HVAC and mechanical systems.
- Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations, including risk assessments and method statements.
Requirements:
- Significant experience in air conditioning, refrigeration, or HVAC maintenance and installation.
- Experience in commercial building services or facilities management.
- Proven track record of reactive and planned maintenance (PPM).
- Relevant qualifications: City & Guilds 2079 Safe Handling of Refrigerants or CITB J11 equivalent NVQ2/3 or City & Guilds in Commercial Refrigeration & AC Systems, Heating & Ventilation, or Heating & Ventilation Service & Maintenance.
- IPAF / PASMA desirable.
- Full UK driving licence required.
