We are recruiting for an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established building services provider, delivering maintenance across a portfolio of commercial properties in the Birmingham region. This is a mobile role offering a stable Monday to Friday schedule, a structured workload, and long-term contract security.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive electrical works
- Fault finding, repairs, and minor installation works
- Support general building services maintenance (mechanical, HVAC, and fabric tasks)
- Respond to helpdesk tasks within agreed SLAs
- Participate in a call-out rota (approx. 1 in 13)
- Oversee subcontractors and issue Permits to Work
- Ensure all equipment operates to required standards
- Maintain a safe and compliant working environment
- Deliver a high level of customer service at all times
Requirements:
- Proven experience in building services or facilities maintenance
- Strong electrical fault-finding and maintenance background
- Experience working within commercial environments
- Full UK driving licence (essential)
Qualifications:
- NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (2356/2357)
- City & Guilds 2330 Level 3
- City & Guilds 236/2360 Parts 1 & 2
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (essential)
Desirable:
- City & Guilds 2394/2395 (Inspection & Testing)
- JIB accreditation
- IPAF / PASMA
Package:
- Salary: £42,000 - £46,000
- Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm
- 25 days annual leave + bank holidays
- Company van, fuel card, phone & PDA
- Optional personal use of van
- Overtime available: Weekdays & Saturdays: x1.5, Sundays: x2
